Conn 12 French Horn mouthpiece [UMI] - worn Lausmann stencil made in Germany

While worn, this Conn 12 French Horn mouthpiece is ready to give its all [perhaps its last] in a high-risk scenario...!
There are scratches, nicks, and dings all over - of note is where the side of the rim may have contacted some rough concrete.  The lip contact areas are, for the most part, relatively smooth and playable still.  The thicker Lausmann silver plating held up except for at the shank opening, which was worked on and is mostly round [but not perfect].  It seems to have faced the Great Outdoors before, and it's ready for Round Two!
The 12 is based on the equivalent Vincent Bach design, where

".  The UMI catalog characterizes the 12 as having a slightly narrower rim and cup than the 11.  The rim is "medium narrow" and rather rounded.

These pieces were made by Lausmann in Nauheim, [West] Germany.  This arrangement has its roots in Los Angeles Benge mouthpiece designs from the early 1970s, based on the Mt Vernon/early Elkhart Vincent Bach models popular at the time.  Benge was bought out and moved to King's Eastlake, Ohio plant in 1983, and became part of United Musical Instruments [UMI] alongside Conn and other brands in 1985.  During this time, mouthpiece templates were sent to Lausmann, and soon all UMI brass pieces were coming from Nauheim.  Lausmann has produced staggering quantities of brass mouthpieces for a plethora of brands*, as they still do today.
