We humbly invite you to put this mic up against anybody’s U67.  We sound test every LITTLE RED MONSTER by WEIRD AUDIO TECH. COM against a U87 before they leave our facility.  We require each and every mic to pass this test before it leaves our place. - it must sound better or it doesn't.  I've been in the industry for awhile - had the privilege of recording double platinum artists and Grammy winners.  I know good sound. The LITTLE RED MONSTER sounds really good. Nice even highs, warm mids, accurate and non-muddy lows.  It's elegantly designed - provides liquid warm sound through and through with any good pre-amp. Old designs were destined to be improved upon and hear is the proof.
Our gold plated, 34 mm capsules are machined to the highest standard, you don’t see tool marks, out Mylar is full bleed - edge to edge gold sputtered aluminized Mylar - more precisely made than  what was possible 60 years ago. Each microphone is hand made. We don't use a big, old school un-shielded hand wrapped transformer, that produces noise and interference, at the base of our microphone sleeve. Our design is way more advanced,  We utilize a quality 12AX7WB tube and high-bred caps.
We started building microphones to give the underdog producer and artist a chance - a chance to make fabulous recordings without having to pay ridiculous prices for mics. The big mic companies don't exist as they did before engendering the high quality German engineering.  Two things have happened in that regard.  Those companies have been sold to organizations that mass produce in China. And technology has advanced.  This is what allows these companies to mirror the old designs without having to replicate them.  Today's mics may have the same model numbers as the great mics of yesterday, but they are not the same mics!  Our quest was to provide great mics represented by today's technology at realistic prices.  Check out the sound files and video provided here.
