    MONETTE Prana XLT BLMS1 82 Trumpet Mouthpiece
    Up for auction is a used Monette Prana XLT BLMS1 82 (formerly called the B6L) trumpet mouthpiece in excellent condition. The mouthpiece has some slight marks from inserting it into the leadpipe, which doesn't affect its play.
    According to Monette's website, new retail price for this mouthpiece would be 7+, and the specifications for this popular lead mouthpiece size are below:
    Prana – The Prana series are the best of the best. Their projection, intonation and ease in the upper register are well known to anyone familiar with our equipment. They are used by 100% of the top players we work with.
    XLT – This weight mouthpiece is designed primarily for lead trumpet playing. Lighter weight = the brightest sound and very easy extreme upper register. These are also the easiest for the player to hear behind the instrument when playing in extremely loud environments or “dead” rooms.
    BLM – Size measurements:
    Outside Rim Diameter = 1.08

    S1 – Denotes the “SLAP” design shape of the cup shape. The larger bowl shape at the top of the cup makes for a bigger sound, and more room for the chops to swell when fatigued without degrading performance. The middle part of the cup “comes in” faster than previous designs, for faster response. The bottom of the cup has a wide funnel shape to open up the “target size” of each note, making the mouthpiece more forgiving to play.
    82 – Denotes the backbore size.
