Recent Northern Virginia estate find.  Offering an absolutely beautiful Mottahedeh Design by Lowestoft 10" square bowl; Eagle with Shield.  This bowl is in excellent
co
ndition with no chips, cracks, stains or crazing.  Designed more so in a traditional Italian style with some slight firing character such as waviness and very slight glaze variations.  This is as intentionally designed and definitely adds to the period grandeur of this piece as an early American Colonial reproduction bowl.  The colors are vibrant, the gold
embellishments
are very strong with just some slight rub, and the glaze has a nice, high sheen.  An eagle and shield emblem on either side, with a floral design on the
opposite
two sides.
