    Description

    The Mr. P 6.5 tuba mouthpiece by Potenza is designed by Daniel Perantoni, Professor of Music at the distinguished Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.  Also known as Mr. P, Perantoni has been in the mouthpiece business for several decades and the 6.5 is the modern version of an earlier very successful design.  The Mr. P Signature tuba mouthpieces have been engineered for better response, ease of playability, and a centered, focused sound.
    The Mr. P 6.5 has a medium shallow cup, and has become the most popular mouthpiece in the line for F and Eb tubas. It is known for its warm and colorful sound in all registers.  Mr. P has also designed a sharper rim for better flexibility and more overall weight for power.
