The Paul McCartney World Tour 1989-90 - Concert Tour Book - (9" x 12") 98 pages (loaded with great color and black & white photos) - 1989 - Very good condition. The Paul McCartney World Tour was a worldwide concert tour by Paul McCartney during 1989 and 1990. It was McCartney's first major tour outing in ten years, since Wings UK Tour 1979, and his first appearances in North America in thirteen years, since the 1976 Wings Over America Tour. It was also his first tour under his name. While the tour coincided with the release of his Flowers in the Dirt album, it was thematically more about his finally embracing his Beatles past, including for the first time, in any of his tours, a substantial number of Beatles songs in the set list. The tour was documented by the 1990 live albums Tripping the Live Fantastic and Tripping the Live Fantastic: Highlights!, and the 1991 concert film Get Back. A one-hour tour documentary was also aired on Channel 4 TV in the UK, titled From Rio to Liverpool. Attendees to the concerts received, free of additional charge, this lavish 9x12-inch 98-page book. It contained the tour itinerary, lengthy profiles of each of the band members, descriptions of the tour's stage and logistics, and an extended description of Friends of the Earth's mission. Two-thirds of the book consisted of McCartney's reflections upon his life and career, and is illustrated by many photographs. This is that book commemorating the 1989-90 tour. There is a little edge and corner wear and some light rubbing near the top right corner of the front cover (see the scan), and small corner creases on the back cover, but this program is still in very good condition. No collection of Paul McCartney items is complete without this outstanding program. Check out the scans for the great photoher on the front and back covers. You won't be disappointed.
